Human Trafficking in the United States

February 23, 2010

Check out this post over at the Resurgence on Human Trafficking in the U.S. This is of particular interest to me as most of the students I work with are in the age range that this form of slavery targets.

Think about this statistic: “The United States is a destination country for international trafficking: transportation of foreign women and children into the U.S. for purposes of sexual and labor exploitation. The State Department estimates that approximately 18,000 foreign nationals are trafficked annually into the United States alone.”
