The Way of the Heart is a River

The way of the heart is a river.  One way or another the river will reach the sea, its strange path directed by ordained ways of least resistance.  But do not be mistaken, least resistance in no way means easy.  A river at times must overcome impregnable obstacles, it must flow over or around, taking many long ages and many long miles to chart its path to the sea.  No, the path of least resistance is simply the foreordained way of the river, the path it was meant to take.  When a sheer edifice of stone stands in its way it must go through or around, neither way is easy, but one of these ways it will go and the way it will go is the way it was meant to go.  One must always remember that a river is mighty and that no resistance it will face will ever prevent it from reaching its appointed end.

“For those whom God foreknew He predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son”

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'”

Sam, that was graphic. Word picture I needed to see. Lord continue to etch Your ways in my heart. Carve out my soul deeply with Your will, I pray.
